Winning Team Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter
The promoter is Not Quite Write (ABN 85 157 104 734) (“Promoter”).
2. Promotion
This promotion is a game of chance and forms part of the Not Quite Write Prize for Flash Fiction.
3. Eligibility
Entry is open to individuals who:
- enter the Not Quite Write Prize for Flash Fiction for the relevant round;
- submit a compliant entry in accordance with the Competition Rules;
- are members of the winning team; and
- do not win an individual cash prize in that round.
Entry is automatic for eligible participants. No additional action is required.
There is a limit of one entry per eligible Not Quite Write Prize for Flash Fiction entry.
The promotion is open internationally. There is no minimum age requirement.
Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of the Promoter are not eligible to enter.
If the winner is under 18 years of age, the prize will be awarded with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
4. Promotion Period
The promotion opens at 12:00pm AEDT on 23 January 2026 and closes at 5:00pm AEDT on Sunday, 8 March 2026 (“Promotion Period”).
The draw date will be conducted during the recording of the Not Quite Write Prize for Flash Fiction shortlist episode in New South Wales, Australia.
5. Draw Details
- Number of winners: One.
- Draw method: Random draw.
The winner will be announced:
- in the shortlist episode of the Not Quite Write Prize for Flash Fiction podcast; and
- via email to all competition participants.
6. Prize
The prize for each competition round will be published on the Promoter’s website or social media prior to the draw and forms part of these Terms and Conditions.
For reference, the January 2026 round prize includes:
- one 30-minute online coaching session, valued at AU$140, expiring 23 April 2026; and
- one limited edition Not Quite Write hoodie, valued at AU$150, with choice of standard sizes and worldwide shipping included.
Total prize value: AU$300 (approx.).
The prize is not exchangeable or redeemable for cash however may be transferred to another eligible entrant.
7. Winner Notification & Publication
The winner will be notified by email using the contact details associated with their competition entry.
The Promoter may publish the winner’s pen name and country (if known) on its website and associated platforms.
8. Claiming the Prize
The winner must claim the prize within 28 days of notification.
If the prize is not claimed within this period, the Promoter will conduct a redraw from the remaining eligible entries. The redraw will be conducted randomly, and the new winner will be notified by email.
9. Privacy
The Promoter collects and handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
Personal information is collected for the purposes of conducting the promotion and administering the prize.
10. General
- The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or breaches these Terms and Conditions.
- The Promoter is not responsible for any technical issues, delays, or failures beyond its reasonable control.
- Except as required by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage suffered as a result of participating in the promotion or accepting the prize.
